This recipe is amazing! I am absolutely obsessed with Indian food and could probably eat it all day, everyday. The Hubs, however, doesn't enjoy it as much as I do. However, this was a hit not only with him, but our dinner party as well. It is a lengthy process, but oh so worth it in the end. The recipe can be found at Tasty Kitchen.
A few modifications that can be made to make it a little bit healthier, yet still tasty:
- chicken breast instead of chicken thighs
- fat free plain greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt
- margarine instead of butter (I use country crock with vitamin D)
- natural sweetener instead of white sugar
- fat free evaporated milk instead of heavy cream
- brown basmati rice instead of white basmati rice
It takes a while but it is so worth it! Enjoy!
